I'm donating 10% of the royalties I earn that day to the brand new Asheville Humane Society Shelter and Adoption Center. It's a natural fit -- many of the stories I share deal with animal communication. The new shelter, years in the making, will definitely communicate compassion, respect and love to all the creatures passing through. |

Buzz for the Book

The Spontaneous Healing of Belief
I had the honor and privilege of attending Gregg's recent Western North Carolina presentation, where he held more than 600 people in the palm of his hand for three fantastic hours.
He deftly shattered barriers of time -- past, present and future -- to lead us all on a cognitive roller coaster of scientific and spiritual thrills and chills. "Thrills" in that he showed us how Fractal Time strings events together in plausibly logical patterns, illustrating the genesis of major global and cultural events by analyzing key indicators preceding them. "Chills" in that if past occurrences are the accurate indicators they seem to be, we are literally at this very instant in time at a crossroads as a nation, and a planet. Will we annihilate ourselves? Or are we up to the challenge of raising our consciousness and embracing the concept that we create our reality, and we are all linked to everyone, and everything, on multiple dimensions? YES to the consciousness raising, judging by the things unfolding globally. For starters, the August 16 TIME magazine cover story, "What Animals Think," effectively shifts the old paradigm that animals are not capable of emotions or complex thought. The article lists "speaking" with apes, crows creating and using tools and elephants mourning their dead as just a few of the scientific facts that are shifting our idea of the consciousness of animals, and how we connect with them. "Avatar" has become the biggest box office hit of all time, and DVD sales have also smashed all previously existing records. People around the globe obviously want to connect with a planet where everyone and everything are linked. Perhaps one of the most exciting examples of global connection is coming up August 31, and you have the opportunity to literally and personally join in. UCLA is hosting "Evolutionary Leaders: A Call to Conscious Evolution: Our Moment of Choice." Even if you can't get to LA for the event which will bring together cultural creatives, including Gregg Braden, from around the world, you can join in through an Internet Global Live Screening option. This gathering truly has the potential to change the course of the future for us all.

 P Psychic Kids: Show Your True Colors!
I was visiting some friends and noticed their 9-year-old son just sitting dejectedly, staring at the floor. He was wearing a navy blue T-shirt.
"Ben," I asked him, "Do you have a red shirt?" He nodded 'yes.'
"I think it would be cool if you ran up to your room and changed into THAT one," I said. He did -- and he immediately went back to being a happy, active, fun kid.
Every color has a certain energy, and when you know that, you can plan what to wear on specific days to give you very different types of energy -- exactly the energy you need, depending on what you'll be doing. Here's a quick list to help you:
RED: Like Ben, when you need a lot of fun energy, pick this color.
ORANGE: This one's good for the first day at school or when you're going to a party, and you want to meet a lot of different people.
YELLOW: Planning a long hike, or you'll be staying late at school for special activities? Yellow will give you lasting energy to spare.
GREEN: This is the color to wear when you want people to fall in love with you.
BLUE: When you have to speak in front of a group, wear a bright blue to help you talk effectively. A dark blue has the opposite effect, and will tend to make you more shy and less likely to say what's on your mind.
