Going Back to our Roots to Oppose Offshore Oil

OffshoreOilSux

Save Our Shores was originally founded in '78 as a citizen-action group with the sole purpose of keeping offshore oil drilling out of the Monterey Bay and Central Coast waters. We succeeded. The BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf is a national disaster and we hope this tragedy will inspire citizens and legislators around the world to push for clean energy and the complete termination of new fossil fuel explorations off of our coastlines. Watch this video from the Gulf of Mexico...

On May 13, CA Senators Boxer and Feinstein introduced a new Senate Bill calling for the permanent protection of the Pacific Coast from new offshore oil rigs along the coasts of California, Oregon, and Washington.

Join us in telling Congress NO MORE DRILLING! Clean Energy Now!

Have you heard about AB 1998?

Its the California State Assembly Bill to ban single-use plastic bags at the state level. This bill MUST pass the Assembly vote by June 4th or it won't advance this year.

The plastic industry is fighting to prevent the bill from vote, so we need to put the pressure on Sacramento & let them know our oceans come first! Plastic bags are the ones on their way to extinction now.
