DockWalker Program 2010 Starts This Month!
DockWalker in action!
We will be hosting 5 DockWalker events this month, at each of the harbors of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. Each event will begin at 9am with a brief training on the program, then we will go out to the docks and hand out free oil spill prevention boating supplies to boaters.  We need volunteers to help us reach as many boaters as possible and make the most out of each event.  For more information on the program visit our website and contact lauren@saveourshores.org if you are interested in volunteering.  See you on the docks!

Desalination and the Alternatives
Forum and Workshop
Desalination Forum
Santa Cruz Water Department and Soquel Creek Water District are planning to build a desalination plant to serve Santa Cruz and Live Oak residents in dry years, and Soquel District customers in all other years.

It's up to our community to decide the desalination issue, the sponsoring organizations want to get feedback from people of Santa Cruz.  Make your voice heard and come to this forum on March 18th at 6:15pm at Live Oak Elementary School.  For more information visit our website.
