Greetings!

Dr Cathy
What started out as a grassroots effort to lend a helping hand to animals in need has turned into a global endeavor to link veterinary resources with countries in need.

The animals we help are often those in the most dire situations plagued by starvation, disease, neglect or simply a lack of availability of veterinary care.  We have helped thousands and thousands of animals and all of our services are free of charge.

We appreciate your interest, support and efforts that help World Vets make the world a better place for animals.

Sincerely,

Cathy King DVM, MS, PhD
CEO, World Vets

Dr. Jerry Brown
Dr. Jerry Brown is a life long Washingtonian who, after graduating from Washington State University, opened a veterinary clinic in his hometown of Yelm.  He is an adjunct professor at Washington State University, has qualified to host preceptors for Western University, and for many years was a high school girls basketball coach.  After selling his clinic 3 years ago, Dr Brown continued to work full time but also became involved with World Vets and has participated on trips to Honduras and Panama.

"World Vets has allowed me to teach and interact with people and  professionals from other countries and to share ideas, techniques, and good times.  I think I come back from each trip a little bit more energized just from being around all the on site volunteers and the rest of the team."

Featured Trip
Team Roatan!

ROATAN HONDURAS
From March 14-21, a group of 16 World Vets members ventured down to the island of Roatan, Honduras.  In 3 clinic days there were 150 surgeries performed and an additional 200 animals seen for general health checks, vaccinations, and treatments.

The team also managed to have a lot of fun during the week.  The activities included a dolphin encounter, zip lining, a behind-the-scenes look at a wildlife preserve, and a 4 hour sunset cruise.

Check out the team blog to read all about the trip.
