Boosterthon is coming! This year's theme is Highway USA! Join us on this awesome road trip!
Boosterthon is the PTA's only fundraiser and the proceeds from previous Boosterthons have been used to purchase the cafeteria's new sound system and window shades, the marquee, and the brand-new track!
This year proceeds from Boosterthon will be used to purchase technology for our students!
Check out your child's Communicator for more information!

The GrandFriends committee, Dr. Neely, and the Oak Grove PTA cordially invites all current and prospective GrandFriends to a Welcome (Back) Coffee on Thursday, September 20th, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the cafeteria. Calling All Green Thumbs
(and not so green thumbs, too!)
Are you a gardener who would like to share your knowledge with Oak Grove students? Or are you someone who doesn't know a lot about gardening but would like to learn more?
Each grade level has a garden box in the courtyard and we will soon begin harvesting and teaching gardening basics. Each class needs at least one garden parent volunteer. If you're interested, please contact Frances Overcash at frances.overcash@comcast.net and mark your calendars for the GARDEN VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION on September 17th at 9:00am in the courtyard. |
Walking Wednesdays!
Get ready! Walking Wednesdays will start on September 19th! International Walk to School Day is October 3rd so be on the look-out for more information. Be sure to get out and walk or bike to school and, as always...

Remember to be safe and be seen!

Help Wanted - Track Club
Like to be outside? Like to run? Like to help kids learn a healthy, fun activity? Then Track Club is for you! Oak Grove PTA is looking for a few parents to lead one of our most popular activities. Our previous chairs have recently stepped down and we have some "track shoes" to fill. We would like to get volunteers in place to start Track Club in the spring semester.
If you are interested in chairing this awesome committee or need more information, please contact Liliana Finch at lilianarf@yahoo.com or Heather Kelly at heatherkell@gmail.com
