School Starts Monday!
Be prepared and ready by reading the information below...

Morning arrival for the week of August 13, 2012 Parents are welcome to escort students to the classroom during the first week of school only. On Monday, if you arrive before 7:20am, you will wait in the cafeteria until we dismiss everyone to homerooms at that time. For the remainder of the week, we will hold students in the cafeteria until 7:35am. Once dismissed, please escort your child to class, give kisses and hugs and say goodbye so that we can begin our day. All goodbyes must be complete by 7:45am, which is our school start time.
We have limited parking. Be prepared for a long carpool line and a very busy Oak Grove Rd.
Starting on Monday, August 20, 2012 all students will be dropped at the front door (or walked up to the back door) and released to class from there. Parents will not escort students directly to class. We have staff and patrols on duty to ensure that students are directed to the correct location upon arrival.
Dismissal Procedures Parents will not go directly to the classroom to pick up children. Walkers are dismissed to the cafeteria or William's Pavilion beginning at 2:25pm. Please wait for your child in one of those locations and make sure the teacher knows which one. Your children will be escorted to the correct location by school staff.
Buses are dismissed starting at 2:30pm. School staff will escort children to the correct bus. We will go slowly the first few weeks of school. We want every child to get on the correct bus and get home safely.
Carpool begins at 2:35pm. Please have your carpool tag hanging from your rearview mirror. We have school staff and patrols on duty to escort students to their cars.
Please be patient during dismissal during the first few weeks. It will take time to get everyone used to dismissal procedures and safely home.
Thanks! |

We are excited to announce that we have a nurse and a counselor! Our nurse is Jennifer Florence and you can call her "Nurse Jen." Our counselor comes to us from Montclair Elementary. Her name is Anais Rodriguez. Mrs. Rodriguez is bilingual in English and Spanish! In just a few short days, they have made big contributions to our staff and students. We are excited they are here!
