HMS Tours for Parents of Rising 6th Graders
Feb. 2nd, 8th, and 14th
Henderson PTSA will be conducting tours of the campus for parents of rising 6th graders on February 2nd, 8th and 14th.
Feb. 2nd is an evening tour beginning at 6:30 pm.
Feb. 8th and 14th are morning tours beginning at 10 a.m. Tours will be followed by a Q&A session with principal, Terese Allen. |

Calling All Mad Scientists!
And Those Not So Mad!
Join us for the first annual PTA Science Night, Tuesday, February, 7th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. We will be hosting numerous experts on a range of different subjects including apiculture, astronomy, biology, botany, chemistry, ecology, entomology, geology, neuroscience, nutritional science, paleontology, physics, psychology and zoology. Do you know what all these disciplines are? Come and find out!
There will also be a brief PTA meeting at the beginning of the night. Please plan on attending!

Multicultural Fair
Our third annual Multicultural Fair has been scheduled for Saturday, April 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We will have international booths, food tasting from the different cultures in our school as well as crafts, dancing, theatre, a multicultural art show and art sale and the 3rd grade music program. We look forward to seeing you all there. MEETING: There will be a meeting in the cafeteria on Thursday, February 9, at 8:00 a.m. for anyone interested in helping with the fair. Math Superstars Session 5 is Available
The next deadline is February 9th. There are seven sessions of Math Superstars this year and students must complete at least 5 sessions in order to be eligible for end of year recognition. Grades 3, 4, and 5 will have their recognition as part of the end of year honors programs. There will be a separate program for students in the lower grades.
