HonorHonor's Day Program for 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grades

Oak Grove Elementary is excited to announce Honor's Day Programs for 3rd through 5th grades. We will be honoring students and their accomplishments in a variety of areas... academics, extra-curricular, fine arts, etc. The theme for our honors day programs will be "How are we smart?" versus a more common theme of "How smart are we?" We feel as though Honor's Day will highlight Learning Without Limits at Oak Grove Elementary!

recycleRecycling Update

We are a new committee on the PTA and are thrilled to have had a successful start. Thank you to all the support from Dr. Neely, staff and parents.

Great news! Since the inception of our drink pouch and glue stick recycling programs, we have collected nearly 4,000 drink pouches and 600 glue sticks!  What does this mean in dollars?  How about over $80 in funds for the PTA!  It doesn't sound like much, but this is FREE MONEY!  We're getting paid to do something great for the environment!

The paper recycling program is going very well. Thank you to Mr. Owen and our after-school students for collecting and disposing of the paper from each classroom and office!  Great work!

We encourage you and your families to reuse, repurpose and recycle at home.

If you would like to join the Recycling Committee or help during school events, please contact Michelle Register: mopttc@gmail.com

PS: We have also filled about a dozen 50 gallon co-mingled recycle bags with plastics, glass, and aluminum from the teacher's lounge alone. Parents and staff have been volunteering to pick it up weekly for curbside recycling. THANK YOU!  ~Dr. Neely
