Dear Oak Grove Parents,

I hope this reaches you in good health and spirit. During the month of January, our students will be given the opportunity to learn, hear, and discuss various careers through classroom guidance.  The month will end with the grand finale Career Day.

The Counseling Department is so grateful for your efforts to assist with
educating our children about careers.  Thank you so much for volunteering your time to do this.  Career Day will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.  As a guest speaker you will be asked to share your career, training, education requirements, and other pertinent aspects of your job to our students.  You will rotate between three to four classes and will speak for approximately 25 minutes each.  It is advised that you spend 15 minutes sharing your profession and 10 minutes for questions/answers.  Props are welcomed and audio/visual equipment is available i.e. television, DVD Player, SmartBoards, and LCD (limited; please request these items upon receipt of this letter).  Please complete and send me your Career Day form (click here to download) if you wish to volunteer.
It is the mission of our Counseling Department and school to fully meet
the needs of every child by giving them every possible resource available
for productive citizenship in the 21st century.  To this end I thank you
for your support to this educational experience and to Oak Grove School.
