Safe Routes to School | | |
Walking Wednesdays Return!
Parents and students, get ready for the return of "Walking Wednesdays!" Starting on Wednesday, September 7th, through mid-November, students are encouraged to walk or bike to school every Wednesday. Join your neighbors and form your own "walking school bus." Walkers and bikers will receive small incentive awards as they arrive at school.

Taylor Organics and CSA Program | | |
Taylor Organics provide beautiful and tasty fruits and vegetables for families at a reasonable price.
Taylor Organics has been Oak Grove Elementary's Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program since last May. Members really enjoy Neil Taylor's superior produce. We even get some homemade organic jellies, jams, and ciders. Our kids experience new foods! Every week is an exciting adventure with what you are going to cook for your family. Neil also provides recipes on his blog and members share recipes too. We invite you to join this wonderful community program.
When: Tuesday evenings (year round). Pick up time will change when weather gets cooler.
Where: SPRIG Restaurant in the Oak Grove Village, 2860 LaVista Road, Decatur, GA 30033
Who: Any families living in our general neighborhood who want to enjoy fresh organic veggies, fruits, and more from a local farm. All local schools and communities are welcome to participate.

OAK GROVE CREATIVE DRAMA CLUB
JOIN BRAND NEW CREATIVE DRAMA CLUB FOR K-4TH!
Due to increased demand for more DRAMA, we have added a new class which will meet on Thursdays from 3:45-4:35 beginning on September 15th. There still is limited room in this offering for the active and imaginative child who loves the land of make-believe and wants to explore acting, characters, costumes, improvisation, musical skits, fairy tales, puppetry and all aspects of performance. OAK GROVE KEYBOARD/PIANO CLUB
Keyboard/Piano Club for 2nd-5th graders still has a few spots left for kids who want to learn how to play the piano keyboard in a fun, social Suzuki-style program where they learn how to play by ear as well as using musical notation. Lots of other fun activities round out the program including singing, movement, listening and rhythm games, percussion, keyboard improvisation and an end-of-session recital.
