Reminders for the 2nd Week of School

For the remainder of the school year, students will walk to their classrooms independently. Plan a spot with your child to say goodbye each morning. If you come in the front door, the corner of the white picket fence is a great spot. If you come up the back path, the edge of William's Pavilion is another good choice. We have patrols waiting inside the front doors to escort our youngest children to their classrooms.

It is important for student safety that all children wear closed toe shoes every day. All children go to PE three times per week and spend at least 15 minutes on the playground for recess.  In addition, remember that spaghetti straps and halter tops are not to be worn to school. Girls should consider wearing shorts under dresses so that undergarments are not shown during playtime, PE, recess, and carpet time.

For all of our walkers who bring a dog on your morning trek, please adhere to the following:

-Please do not leave dogs unattended or tied to the fence or railing.

-Please do not bring your dog past the white picket fence at the front entrance or past William's pavilion at the back entrance. We have children who are very afraid and also allergic to dogs.

-Please do not bring your dog inside the building.

Thank you for a great opening week. We are off to a great start!

Thank you from PE/Health Department

Thank you to all our wonderful parents who generously donated much needed supplies to our PE/Health Department!

Coach Jamie Owen and I will put the bandages, Clorox wipes, facial tissue, and rubber gloves to great use.  We now have more than we could have hoped for and are very thankful for being in this situation.

Wish Lists for Non-homeroom Teachers

Non-homeroom teachers don't get a chance to share their wish lists for supplies by talking to parents at Open House.  This year we thought we'd share their wish lists through the newsletter to see if you can help!

Please consider whether you can help with any of these supplies.  You can send them with your child or drop them off at the front office (marked with the teacher's name).  Thanks!
