Message from Parker
Ritter, Kiersten and Kylie working in the barn

Dear Friends,

A few months back, a little girl visited the barn one Sunday morning. Her big chocolate eyes and puffy cheeks melted me. And the way she pursed her perfect little lips to say my name. Miss Pawkuh. I explained that horse girls must work hard. We brush horses. We haul water buckets. We scoop poop. This baby started working and wouldn't stop. Her family had to haul her out against her will to get her to stop.

I knew right then that little Kiersten likely would be one of my forever babies. I recently have had the honor of seeing some of those forever babies graduate from medical school and other post graduate programs. We watched another marry. I remember when they were little like Kiersten. This was back before they grew up and took on the world. Back when the manure fork stood twice as tall as all of them, and they fought like the devil with that ol' fork to scoop the poop and dump it into the wheelbarrow.

Funny how little things foretell such big things. We'll see you soon, at the barn!

Parker
