Fun Friday Fun! We had a huge crowd for our wild and crazy Fun Friday. Special thanks to Rex and his sweet dog, Blake, from the Humane Society for a wonderful visit. Congratulations to our ASHA medal recipients, who wee honored. And a super special congratulations to Sara Baker, whose Mom surprised her with a new saddle! We topped off the evening with a two-case-sized silly string fight! See more pictures on our Shutterfly site, and enjoy! Also, mark your calendars for the next Fun Friday on April 17th.

Dear friends,

It's amazing how raising children changes and focuses you. Being their role models, their protectors, and the pavers of their future is petrifying. Parenting also forces you to ask tough questions of yourself about your mission.
Asking and answering those tough questions in recent years has led us to create A Mission Statement for CLS. And 20 years from now, when hopefully your grandbabies and my grandbabies are scooping poop and being dirty little barn kids in this same wonderful old barn, the message below will be as apropos as it is today.
Our Mission
The mission of Cash Lovell Stables is to be a magical place where horse and horse lover come together. We will be the best riding academy in the country, measured by our commitment to safety, honesty, service, excellence in every task, hard work, kindness, an unmatched work ethic, and a commitment to bettering communities near and far. We will innovate constantly and set the standard for the horse industry.
Cash Lovell Stables team members dedicate ourselves every day to our personal families and to our barn family. We are role models for our riders, and loving stewards of our horses. We work every day with God's grandest creatures: His children and His horses. We never forget that this work is a Supreme honor and privilege.
We believe that people who are born loving horses are kindred spirits. We believe that children who learn to ride, care for and show horses grow and learn unparalleled life and leadership skills. We believe that people of all ages live better lives because of the joy our barn and our horses bring.
It's a big job, and we live for the challenge. We look forward to seeing you soon, at the barn.

Malt-O-Meal Leads CLS Cereal Drive with a WHOPPING Donation
March is National Nutrition Month, and Lovell's Little Bits members have launched a cereal drive!
And we're off to a galloping start! Through a Lovell's Little Bits member who took our cause to Malt-O-Meal, this incredible company donated an entire truck load of cereal for our recent cereal drive. Ms. Parker and Cashlyn picked up the donation from the company's Asheboro plant this weekend, and we're delivering the cereal to local needy families, through Crisis Control.
Please drop off unopened boxes of cereal in the Wee Care! collection box in the lobby, through March 22nd.
The Crisis Control Ministry's food pantries in Winston-Salem and Kernersville serve almost 300 families a month. If you are able, please donate to this worthy cause and help support our community's children. Thank you -- AND THANK YOU MALT-O-MEAL!

Help Ronald McDonald House by Buying a Cute $10 T-Shirt Before March 21!
For the third year in a row, our Little Bits Club will support the Ronald McDonald house by participating in their "Sport A Shirt, Share a Night" program!
Stop by the office to sign up for your $10 t-shirt help pay for a night at the Ronald McDonald House. This house is a "home away from home" that provides cheerful bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, play areas and and rest for families of children receiving medical care in our community's hospitals.
The folks at RMH have requested Jesse James AGAIN to wear his shirt and be onsite for this incredible event. Ms. Parker, his social secretary, has accepted this invitation. He, ehr, we will be there!

Our Barn Helper of the Week is . . . Claudia Van Dyke
Fourteen-year-old Claudia is an eighth grader at Jefferson Middle School. She's been riding at CLS for two years, and volunteering here since practically that first day.
Claudia's favorite barn jobs are catching and turning out horses. She's also a wonderful groom -- and her skills and caring attention to youngsters and horses alike is astounding.
Her patience is might impressive with us oldies, too. She's shown here giving Ms. Madonna, the Queen of CLS Birthday Parties, her first pony ride! Don't be alarmed. Cashlyn held Madonna in the saddle!
Congratulations Claudia. Thank you for all of the passion and energy you bring to CLS. It's contagious! |
