 Dear CLS Family and Friends,
Madelaine turned 9. Chris and Blair turned 15. My barn babies are growing up and I don't like it. Little Chris came to CLS the first time when he was just two weeks old! Yes, I'm old. But I have the greatest babies!
Sweet Blair opted to work at the barn instead of getting her Learner's Permit on her 15th birthday. Now this is a girl with her priorities in order!
I have big news to report: More people have fallen in the mud in recent weeks at Cash Lovell than ever before. This morning, CLS Show Horse Trainer Julia Joyce took a muddy splat onto her hiney too. Welcome to the club, Ms. Julia!
Other news: We just received the proof of the 2012 CLS Calendar and it is awesome! Sondra did a bangup job. It includes shows, camps, fun fridays, dale becker dates and so, so much more for the entire 2012 year! The calendars should be in stock in the CLS Tack Shop soon!
Some of us are off to a show rider convention in Charlotte this weekend. Lessons will continue at home. Ms. Sondra's in charge!

 The Becker Brothers Will Be Back at CLS for Pre-Show Final Fittings
Becker Brothers will be back at CLS on Friday, March 2, for final show clothing fittings. He'll make sure everyone's gorgeous new show duds are perfect. If you didn't get a chance to order new show clothes or you just want to look at what's available -- Parker has several very adorable outfits that came in through consignment. These clothes are in beautiful condition and are being sold at a great price!  Introducing our "Barn Helper of the Week" Contest
The inspections have already started!
So here's the deal. This is for our barn helpers who take their jobs seriously, and clean saddles, and sweep the floors and help our wonderful staff keep our wonderful old barn well kept!
Every morning, Ms. Parker will inspect the barn. Helpers who've left CLS in the best shape the day before will be in the running for our Barn Helper of
the Week Award. Helpers who take a special interest in cleaning saddles or bridles or sweeping cobwebs, will be in the running too! Just be sure to record your work and special jobs on our Barn Helper Sign In Sheets so we know who gets the credit!

Some of our beloved school horses are getting close to retirement age. If you or someone you know might want a special horse for their very own, please let us know. A good home must be guaranteed -- and a peppermint quota!

 First Meeting for Those Interested in Going on our Mission Trip to Ghana
Saturday, February 25 at 1:00 pm at the barn
Dr. Medge Owen and Parker are gearing up to lead a mission trip to Ghana. The trip is tentatively scheduled for October 3-9 (We have moved the trip to October to take advantage of the much cheaper airfare).
This trip will be life changing for all involved. We will work with the orphans whom the barn has adopted, and help to build them a better home. ALL CLS RIDERS and their families are invited to join us. If you are interested in learning more, our first planning meeting is set for Saturday, Feb. 25th at 1 pm at the barn.  CLS Riders Going to Kentucky
Fearless CLS instructors Ms. Sondra and Ms. Jamie will lead our Award Winning Academy Show Riders to Kentucky, where they will be awarded achievement medals from the American Saddlebred Horse Association.
ASHA's annual convention is the venue. Our riders will visit famous horse farms, attend a special viewing at the Kentucky Horse Park, and attend an elegant evening gala. They also will be awarded Achievement Medals that they earned during the 2011 Show Season.
Please help us congratulate the riders below. Cash Lovell Stables had more medal winners from the 2011 show season than any riding academy in the nation! Way to go team!
