 Important Meetings for Anyone Even Thinking About Horse Showing Next Year

Dear CLS Families and Friends,
We/You gave more than ever this year . . .  I got an email from CLS Barn mom extraordinaire, Kim Stewart, who heads up the Little Bits Charitable Giving, and it had just a number in the subject line: $25,563. The email itself just had two sentences and they read: "This is the amount of money our Little Bits Youth Club has raised for charity in 2011. I think this might be an all-time record!" My mouth flew open! And yes, Kim is right - this is an all time record. I am awed, inspired, thankful, astonished and blown away by the time, effort, enthusiasm and joy this barn has put into our charitable work this year. Horses raise great kids. And I am so thankful for these children -- and for every parent at this barn for raising their children to be so incredibly generous with their time and spirit. On anothe r subject: It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here, thanks to Decorating By Lee Lee (Ms. Parker's Mama). We are dizzy with excitement about the upcoming Christmas party on Saturday, December 10 starting at 9:00 am and going until 1:00 pm. Bring your family, bring your rider's BFF! The more the merrier! Also, please take a minute to read this entire email. There's so much news in here, I don't even know where to start.
Oh, yes I do. Granny just reminded me. This is important -- we NEED EVERY SINGLE WONDERFUL ONE OF YOU to stop by and see Jeanne, aka "Granny" in the office. We are missing those dern numbers on the back of everyone's credit cards, and we can't use the new system without them. It will take just two seconds. Promise. Bring friends and neighbors too! We'll have games, our incredible DJ, a slideshow celebrating our year, ginormouse bouncy inflatables for the kids, a mechanical bull (only the few can beat this beast!) and beautiful food. We can't wait!
Oh, one more thing. We heard from our sources at The North Pole that SANTA is making a surprise visit to our party!! Bring those cameras and Santa Wish Lists! |

 CLS Rider Lindsay Jones Wins Big At The Royal
The American Royal Horse Show is one of the most prestigious horse shows in the world, and we're so proud of a CLS Rider who just won there! Lindsay Jones showed her beloved Hackney pony, Heartland Curtain Call, a.k.a. "Rascal", to the exciting win in the Jr. Exhibitor Road Pony class.
This win is even more special because at one point, Rascal was so lame that veterinarians thought he would never show again. Cash picked Rascal for Lindsay several years ago, and the team was dynamite! But an injury left Rascal lame. Veterinarians in two states couldn't get him "sound". So Cash asked renowned pony trainer, Rich Campbell, from whom the Jones family bought Rascal, to take him and try to work his magic.
With the help of Dr. Scott Bennett of Simpsonville, KY, Rich's fantastic team truly did work magic! Congratulations Lindsay and Rascal! We're so proud of you! |

Long-time CLS rider Hadley Bassett, will appear in the UNCSA production of the Nutcracker as a baby mouse! She'll be the stinking cutest mouse EVER!

 New Scheduling System - Everyone please stop by the office for a quick fix!
Please take a moment to go see Granny this week in the CLS office and give her the numbers on the back of your credit card. These are required by our fancy new system! Also, if you haven't had time to log in to our new system, it is very cool and it allows you to cancel lessons, see what lessons are coming up, etc. If you need help with this, we are here when you need us!  New Billing Schedule!
With our new billing/scheduling system, we will be able to charge our rider's accounts on the same day every month. No more waiting until Ms. Parker gets time to key in every charge manually. Whew!
So we'll be doing billing on the 4th, 5th and 6th days of each month. Having the billing on the same days every month was actually a suggestion from one of our smart grandmothers! So thank you.
Everybody hold your mouths just right. This might just work!
