New friends from across the nation and across the world! Thank you to everyone who came to the FUN FRIDAY Safari to Africa earlier this month! With the help of our new friends from Tennessee, the O'Leary family pictured above,the Little Bits have adopted an orphanage in Ghana. We will be working to bring education, food, clean water, clothing and hope to children in this special home. Stay tuned for ways to help! |

Aaaah the ribbons! The great rides! The CLS family fun! We're so proud of all of our riders, especially Caroline Anderson and Ashley Stewart. These young ladies are both ASAC Youth Officers, and they helped to design and then sell t-shirts at the show. They were ably assisted by their CLS Teammates. Many of our riders also sold "pigs" for the ASAC fundraiser too. Yes, I said pigs. OK, they're pink rubber pigs. But pigs still the same! Way to go kids!

 The Asheville Lions Horse Show is coming up in May -- it's a barn favorite. Academy riders will show at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 21. Mark your calendar and sign up today!

Please note that the Spring Fun Show is a fundraiser for the barn's Ghana Children's Rescue Project. All of the proceeds from this show will be donated to help a small orphanage in Ghana pay for food, clean water, clothing, and education of its children. It promises to be a day of inspiration and fun for all ages! |
 Lemonade stands! Car washes! We need all hands on deck for the Race for the Cure! Here's a little update for you on our Race for the Cure Team. So far we've raised $640 (Thank you!) and our goal is $3,000. We have 18 team members and we're looking for even more.
Maybe you've been putting it off saying, "I'll register next week". We need you NOW! This is truly such a fun race. It's about more than just walking or running a 5K -- it's about supporting women who are going through treatment for Breast Cancer, who've lost their lives to Breast Cancer, and the many survivors.  CLS at a "Touch a Truck" event Saturday, May 14 from noon-4 pm On May 14, CLS will provide a truck for the Triad Mommies Touch a Truck event, which will be held from Noon to 4 pm at Truliant on Hanes Mall Blvd. If you have little ones or friends with little ones - come on out and touch some trucks with us! |

Soles4Soles
Throughout the month of May, the Lovell's Little Bits Youth Club will be collecting new and gently used shoes for Soles4Soles, an organization that gives shoes to the needy around the world.
A collection box will be set up in the lounge. So many kids grow out of their shoes before they're barely worn! So please, clean out your closets and donate shoes to the needy. Check out the website at:

Raleigh Results Correction
On our Results sheet from Raleigh Spring Premiere Horse Show, there was a little mistake. We're so sorry about that! Blair Huff showed 11-13 Walk, Trot, Canter not Walk and Trot. Great job, Blair!

 Soul Surfer - Rated PG
If you're looking for something to do with the family over Easter break, check out the movie Soul Surfer about a 13-year old up-and-coming surfer in Hawaii whose arm is ripped off by a tiger shark. Based on a true story, this is a tear-jerker and a great story of grit, optimism and how having the right attitude makes all the difference. To see a movie trailer, click here.
Ms. Parker loves inspirational stories for our babies, and this one is a true gem. The movie is about Bethany Hamilton, who writes:
