Horses Raise Great Kids!

Ms. Parker loves quotes this thankful and purpose-driven time of year,

especially . . .

"If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one. "

~Mother Teresa

"It's easy to make a buck.  It's a lot tougher to make a difference."  ~Tom Brokaw

"Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened.  Happiness never decreases by being shared."

 ~Buddha

"If you have much, give of your wealth; if you have little, give of your heart."  ~Arabian Proverb

"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. " ~Sir Winston Churchill

"This is the true joy in life - being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; being a force of nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. "
~George Bernard Shaw

treeDear Friends -
I have one name for you: EMILY SEMANS!!! This woman stayed up all night for days on end making the CLS entry in the Festival of Trees a flabbergastingly beautiful creation!! Debbie Mansfield help sew some of the handmade ornaments. And then Emily, Kim Stewart and Tiffany Dodson, erected it. And Voila!!

Congratulations to Little Bit Lydia Tyrell, and her family, for purchasing our special tree and supporting Brenner's Children's Hospital by doing so!

Every single day, I try to remember to send a thank you prayer. It's part of my mission to keep my perspective healthy and my work purposeful. Today, my thanks are for these incredible women -- and so many others in our barn family -- who are inspirations to us all. The CLS barn moms could run the world, if we put our minds to it. And one day, we just might . . .

Enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving with your incredible family. And remember to thank the cook and hug your babies!
