Annual American Saddlebred Horse Association of the Carolinas (ASAC) Banquet |
CLS Riders and Drivers Rack Up Huge Statewide Awards and BIG FUN!
For the 2008 show season, NO barn in North or South Carolina earned more championships than Cash Lovell Stables & Riding Academy, as determined by ASAC, the organization that tracks the show barns in our region. ASAC honored CLS last month with its highest award, for the third year in a row : High Point Barn for the 2008 Season. It was quite an honor -- and made possible by our show riders, the most talented, hard-working, fun-loving horse lovers in the sport!
At the organization's annual award's banquet, held in Charlotte Jan. 30 - 31, the following CLS riders and drivers were honored for their winning performances last season. Please help us congratulate our statewide champions:
Caroline Anderson, Jake Butts, Chris Hawley, Lindsay Jones, Sarah Martin, Monica Walsh, Jozy Unal, Cashlyn Lovell, Allison Babson, Chris Hawley, Ally Hibbitts, Sydney Cearley, Elaina Bullard, Macy Blake, Chloe Marion, Felicia Elliott, Ashley Stewart, Emily McKay and Gracyn Mansfield. |

"Designing Women" Give CLS Families A SNAZZY SURPRISE! |
Have you seen our newly-painted and redesigned lounge?
While Parker and Cash were away on vacation in January, three Little Bits moms got busy! Emily Semans (Mom of Carver and Merrick), Sonya Marion (Mom of Chloe and Ainsley), and Debbie Mansfield (Mom of Gracyn and Mallory) teamed up to give our old lounge a makeover. And what an amazing job these Designing Women did! The new lounge has the look and feel of home -- a happy, loving, laughter-filled home. It's simply perfect. Thank you ladies!! |
National Horse Magazine Praises CLS Staffer |
CLS Instructor Wallace Williamson received high praise from Saddle & Bridle Magazine for his fine judging of an Irving, TX horse show.
Quoted from the December issue of Saddle & Bridle, written by Staff Writer Julie Size:
"My compliments to the board and officers of NTASHA for choosing the judge, Mr. Wallace Williamson. A former high school teacher, Williamson took his time with each class, allowing every rider ample time to show their horse, even if the class count was minimal . . . Well-thought-out patterns were drawn up for the equitation classes, and although some were not easy to perform, each was simple to understand. He also approached every juvenile Academy exhibitor in the line-up, offering small bits of advice and support."

IT'S A GIRL! |
Would Ms. Krista has a new foal! Would you like to help name it? We need your help!
On a snowy night recently, a new foal was born into the CLS family. She is a beautiful, chestnut Saddlebred filly, with a star on her head. We would like your help naming her!
To submit your name, please click here. We will pass all the names on to Ms. Krista, the filly's owner. Please note: we'd love for you to suggest the formal name (which is the name that will be on her Saddlebred Registration Papers) and the "barn name" which is what we'll all call her. For instance, the gray horse in the barn that is so beautiful -- her formal name is Heir's Intoxication. Her barn name is Tipsy.
Some thoughts for naming the filly: The filly's sire (her father) is named Leatherwood's Encore. The filly's mama's name is English Yankee. The filly's grandparents are named I'm a New Yorker and Divine Enchantment.
If Ms. Krista picks the name you submit, we'll take your picture with the filly and publish it next month in our newsletter.
Put on your thinking caps! And thanks for helping us!
