Greetings!
Greetings! We hope this message finds you well and coping with the very warm days we've been treated to by Mother Nature over the last few days. Please find below a list of important Neighborhood Health Plan updates. |

EOP Copy Requests Reminder! |
Last month we announced that effective June 1, 2011 copies of current and historical versions of Neighborhood Health Plan's Explanation of Payment (EOP) are no longer available by calling our Customer Care Center. Instead, EOP copies are available exclusively via our provider portal, NHPNet.
We have seen a significant increase in the number of provider offices taking full advantage of this NHPNet self-service option and downloading EOP copies in a matter of seconds!
As a reminder, access to the most recent EOP is always available Thursday mornings immediately following NHP's Wednesdays check run. |

HIPAA 5010 - Have You Tested with Us? |
On January 1, 2012 HIPAA version 5010 becomes effective replacing the current 4010A1 version.
We expect to be fully compliant by the 2012 deadline. However, we need your help testing now to ensure a smooth transition.
Covered entities (health plans, professional and institutional healthcare providers as well as clearinghouses) will be required to use the new 5010 standards when conducting eligible electronic transactions.
Changes to the data currently exchanged by covered entities are anticipated, thus the potential for system adjustments for both payers and providers.
To let us know of your testing schedules, plans for concurrent (4010 and 5010) testing if any, and other relevant information regarding your overall conversion strategy, email us at prweb@nhp.org.
Testing specific inquiries may be directed to vincent_chiachio@nhp.org or 617-772-5736.
For other general inquiries, please contact your NHP Provider Relations Representative directly or email Provider Relations at prweb@nhp.org. |
| New Mammography Defect Report! |
|
In response to provider feedback, we are pleased to announce this new addition to our already robust menu of NHP clinical reports.
This new report will be available quarterly, can be viewed and/or downloaded and offers patient-level information (including PCP assignment) to support PCPs in their own outreach efforts. When available, it also includes the day of the patient's last mammogram.
Log on to your NHPNet account now to not only access this new report, but also the latest versions of existing NHP clinical reports which were recently posted.
We look forward to consistent review by PCP offices of this important patient data.As always, we welcome your feedback to prweb@nhp.org on enhancements and/or additional reporting needs. |
| Thank You! |
