August, 2010
Greetings!

I hope this message finds you well and enjoying what's left of our summer!

Please find below a brief list of important Neighborhood Health Plan (NHP) updates.
NHPNet V2 Update
Last month we announced the completion of changes to our provider portal (NHPNet) and its deployment in a pilot capacity.

The new NHPNet offers improved performance of some of NHPNet's current features in addition to new functionality (such as Claims Status Check and EOP downloading) plus a new look and feel consistent with our corporate image.

We are pleased to announce that the portal is now available to any provider wishing to make an early transition and start enjoying its new features!

Both old and new versions are operating simultaneously and we will provide advanced notice regarding how long the old version will remain available.

As always, we welcome your feedback on how we may continue to meet your needs.

Quarterly Site Reports
The following reports are now available for viewing and downloading as PDF and/or CSV files:

PRIMARY CARE PROVIDERS

  • Asthma Management
  • Diabetes Management
  • Emergency Room Utilization
  • Immunization and Screening

FACILITIES

  • Hospital Admissions report

In addition to these reports, NHP provides PCP offices with updated information on members at risk of losing MassHealth and Commonwealth Care coverage via our Re-determination Reports, also available via NHPNet. Providers are encouraged to use this data as affected members come in for visits to ensure the patient's continued coverage and avoid the losses and/or re-work associated with eligibility changes.

Primary Care providers also benefit from instant access to member and provider rosters, as well as site-level reports on the following transactions:

  • NHP members who have chosen the practice as their pirmary care site (New Plan Member)
  • Existing patients who have terminated from NHP and no longer covered (Plan Termination)
  • Member initiated PCP changes (PCP Assignment)
  • Members who have contacted NHP to request a new primary care site (Site Change)
