Client Spotlight - Domini Sandwiches 
What began in 1906 as a store for travelers, selling confections, fruit and assorted foods, has grown into a family tradition spanning more than 100 years of friendliness and food in downtown Spokane.
When Joseph Domini left his family farm in Rome at the age of 12 (1901) he came to the United States with the dream of all immigrants - "free enterprise". Finally, after his travels across the U.S., staying in such cities as Chicago, San Francisco and Tacoma, he selected Spokane as home. Joe opened his first store at the corner of Main and Washington. It was the beginning of a family tradition - Domini Sandwiches.
Located in the downtown Washington Trust Building since 1974, Domini Sandwiches has been selling sandwiches longer than anyone else in the city of Spokane. And with the repeal of prohibition in 1933, was among the first holders of a state license to sell beer in Spokane!
Since 1906, the store has changed its complexion and location several times. From a confectionery to a market to a fruit stand to King of the Sandwich, Domini Sandwiches has become a permanent part of Spokane.
 Sandwiches are made all by hand, with nothing pre-cut or pre-made, using the choicest products to keep customers happy. Add to this the popcorn served with the sandwiches, and it makes for a delightful lunch - as is attested by the overflowing lunch crowds. |

Keeping Kids
Car Safe
Did you know that a high percentage of child car seats are not installed properly, and thus will not provide the maximum protection for children in an accident?
Follow these recommendations for all ages:
Select a car seat based on your child's age, height and weight.
Keep your child in the car seat for as long as possible, as long as your child fits the seat's height and weight requirements.
All children under 13 should ride in the back seat.
September 24, 2011, is National Seat Check Saturday
Visit nhtsa.gov for more recommendations, and to find an inspection station near you. Certified child passenger safety technicians will be available to inspect car seats and provide hands-on advice free of charge.
