REVENGE OF THE RUBBER CHICKEN

Our own Tom Schweifler (one of our Sales Executives) is a member of the Spokane South Rotary Club. They are sponsoring a basketball game between Ferris and Lewis & Clark High school alumni called the "Revenge of the Rubber Chicken".  It is this Saturday (April 23rd) at Ferris HS. The doors open at 5pm and the game is at 6pm . This the first annual game and all proceeds go to their scholarship fund. The funds are given to a number of graduating seniors from each school who qualify with not only good grades but have performed social and community service projects. The club has given over $100K in scholarships in the last 15 years. Not only do we have a number of alumni from both schools here at Fidelity, but parents of current students as well. As an added bonus, we have our very own Craig Jones and Ben Lyman playing for LC. That should be worth the price of admission alone! Ticket prices are $5 for students, $8 for adults and $20 for a family of 4 and children under 5 are free. Tickets can be purchased at the door. There are door prizes and shooting contests and the concession stand will be open with a variety of food. Please help support our local schools and Rotary and enjoy a fun event with family and friends!

Client Spotlight - Klink's Williams Lake Resort

 Klink's

Klink's Williams Lake Resort, also known as Klink's Resort, is a family owned and operated Resort located on beautiful Williams Lake just 15 minutes south of Cheney.  Jerry and Sandy Klink purchased Williams Lake Resort in 1989 and have transformed the property into a destination dining experience and staycation resort for Eastern Washington residents.

Resort: The season at the resort is from Mid April to Mid September and features great fishing, relaxing & delicious dining, RV camping, Cabin rentals, boat moorage, and on-site store that rents paddle boats, motorized fishing boats, aqua cycles, water-trikes, kayaks and resort picnic, beach and day passes.

Dining: Klink's On the Lake is a small restaurant that offers a relaxing dining atmosphere with Northwest cuisine. Featured in many magazines and publications for being a Northwest destination dining experience you will find everything from steaks to seafood. Executive Chef Jamie Lombardi and the Klink's Culinary Team offers amazing new weekly creations while maintaining the 22 years of Klink's traditional favorites like Prime Rib & The Klink's Signature Ribeye steak along with the recently added Crab & Shrimp Topped Wild Alaskan Salmon & WSU Cougar Gold Mac & Cheese. Klink's pride themselves on having a menu consisting of NW Cuisine that is fresh, local and everything made in house. Dessert is also something to never miss, with Pastry Chef and owner Sandy Klink making all the desserts from scratch from her time tested recipes, one of which just featured in Inland NW Magazine.

Fishing: Williams Lake is the number 1 rated trout lake in the state of Washington, according to Washingtonlakes.com. Klink's Resort was one of the first private companies to ever stock fish in a public lake. The resort stocks a Kamloop Steelhead Triploid Trout ranging from 2lbs to 8lbs and stocks 2,000-5,000 fish annually; it's no wonder why Jerry Klink's motto is "bigger fish bigger smiles." The State of Washington also does a fantastic job of managing the lake stocking rainbow, tiger, triploids and cutthroat trout.  Klink's Resort also holds the Klink's Annual Shriner's Fishing Derby with all the proceeds going to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, this year is the 8th derby and is on May 22nd.

Join Sandy, Jerry and son Dusty Klink on Opening Night of the restaurant April 22nd 2011.

  MANAGERS CORNER

Greetings from Mary Lemon, COO

This is a beautiful time of year, the sun is starting to shine more, the tulips are starting to come up and the air is getting warmer.  We are all anxious to spend more time outside.

It's an exciting time to be in Spokane.  We recently hosted the opening rounds and the regional semi-finals of the Women's NCAA Tournament.  We are looking forward to Bloomsday, which kicks off our spring and summer events with Hoopfest just around the corner.

Here at Fidelity Associates, we started our spring by enjoying a team building event with Jason Swain, Manager of Employee and Organizational Development , Gonzaga University, as our guest at our recent employee staff meeting.   All of us at Fidelity are busy gearing up for summer.  We get the opportunity to talk to our customers more with everyone bringing out their collector cars, boats, and motorcycles.  It's also a time for our employees to start taking their vacations.  Everything seems a little more exciting and alive.

I'm personally looking forward to the end of May which is when I will have completed the first class of an Associate in Management course.  I'm also enjoying facilitating a Confidence while Communicating class (CWC) for Spokane Insurance Associates and with both of these projects behind me, it will be just in time to start spending my weekends outside in the yard.

Happy Spring to you all and enjoy the warmer weather.

Warmest Regards,

Mary Lemon, Chief Operating Officer
