Greetings!
March is a great month to drive home those New Year's resolutions! If you are still working on yours, challenge yourself to make it a priority this month. If your resolution has slipped away from you, let the Y help you get back on track. We are here to enhance your spirit, mind and body.

Summer Camp Registration Now Open
The YMCA has been making summers sizzle since 1903! Register now for your child's summer adventure. Camps available are:
Camp Cormorant - Ages 7-15
This resident camp is located on Big Cormorant Lake, 50 miles east of the Fargo-Moorhead Area. Camp sessions run weekly June 7 - August 14. Visit www.campcormorant.org for a list of available camps and registration information. Scholarships are available. Camp Koda - Ages 6-11YMCA Camp Koda is a sports & activities camp designed to enhance self-esteem, develop social & physical skills, increase
exposure to social & physical skills and increase exposure to life-time

half-day "camping" experience is designed just for preschoolers. Each session
is planned around a theme that appeals to the preschooler's interests and sense
of adventure! Swimming, picnics and a weekly field trip add to the excitement.
Parents are invited to join us each Friday for a picnic and program. Located at the YMCA Downtown Branch. Camp

New to Fitness? No Problem!  The YMCA has the classes and services to get you started right. Pick up a "New to Fitness Brochure" at the front desk to learn about group fitness classes, water exercise, fitness center orientations and more. Here are a few highlights:
Group Fitness 101 and Simple Series These group fitness classes are 40-45 minutes of low-impact, beginner level exercise to help you get started in a non-intimidating atmosphere. Click Here for the new group fitness schedule, which goes into effect March 2, 2009.
Fitness Center Orientations
The YMCA now offers a series of THREE FREE orientations in our fitness center, which each teach you a different full-body workout. Visit with the fitness staff at either location for more information or to schedule an orientation.
Blood Pressure and Body Composition Testing This free service is available at the fitness desk. If you want to keep an eye on your numbers and track your progress, stop by for a free screening today! |

Youth Fitness Series
First Fitness - Ages 2-4 This 35-minute parent child class is
designed to bring parents and
children together to develop each child's physical, social and intellectual
skills. Using music, exercise and games children
can learn a range of skills, including body awareness, number concepts, hand-eye
coordination and much more. For days and times, click here.
Play Fit - Ages 4-6 This
45-minute class will show kids that fitness is fun! Participants
will
exercise their body, refine and master basic gross motors skills, play fun
games and meet new friends. We will
incorporate some of their favorite story book characters in our fitness

Gymnastics
The YMCA offers a wide
variety of gymnastics classes starting with a parent/child class for 2-3 year
olds, introductory classes and advanced for youth ages 5+. Develop flexibility and coordination, all

YMCA School Age Program Openings
The YMCA currently enrolling for before and after school care at the YMCA Downtown Branch, which serves Fargo and Moorhead schools. We also have openings at our programs at Madison, Jefferson, McKinley and Oak Grove Elementaries.

Climbing Wall Schedule
YMCA Skate Park The YMCA skatepark offers skateboarders and
in-line skaters a fun and challenging street course atmosphere. The park features numerous quarter pipes,
grind boxes, rails and stairs for skaters of all abilities. The park offers a variety of programming from
private skateboarding lessons, to club and a session for 16+. For more information, please visit the park
