Splashing Around
Remember When--Chesapeake Beach, Maryland
Marilyn Monroe's Last Home
Greetings!

Hello.  I'd like to share my new e-newsletter with you and keep you up-to-date on my art career.  I'm currently working on a new commission (a portrait of a woman and her young son), and just finished Splashing Around, which I was inspired to do after completing a commissioned painting of a family at Chesapeake Beach, Maryland in the early 50's.

I'm also pleased to announce that giclees (high quality prints) of my work have been produced by one of the best fine art printers in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.  As a general rule of thumb, giclee prints on archival paper or canvas are priced at approximately one-third of the cost of the original artwork. To introduce my work, I'm offering giclees at even better prices.

That's it for now, except to tell you that your encouragement inspires me every day to continue working on my art, and I promise not to send out any e-newsletter unless I have fresh and relevant information to share with you, such as new works for sale, an announcement of a new exhibit or event, or a special promotion.  I hope you'll continue to be part of my email list and share my art news with your family and friends.

Splashing Around
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Painting of beach scene with little girl in inner tube I based "Splashing Around" on a black and white family photo taken of me at Chesapeake Beach, Maryland in 1951. It reminds me of many carefree times spent at the beach.  For anyone who remembers those big black inner tubes, this painting should bring back happy memories too.
The original, acrylic on canvas, 38 X 30 painting, is available for $2,250. Click on the painting to view larger.
Mother and Two Daughters at Chesapeake Beach This painting received so many positive reviews, that I am now offering giclee prints on archival paper at half the size of the original painting.  I worked from a small black and white family photo to accomplish this commission. Visit my website to view the original photo. Click on the painting to view larger.
Prints on paper, measuring 15 X 19 inches, are available for $300.00 each. The original painting is sold.
Marilyn Monroe's Last Home
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Painting of Marilyn Monroe's Last Home in Brentwood, California I did a painting of Marilyn Monroe's home in Brentwood, California because she was one of my favorite stars. It is the only home she ever purchased and it is where she died. She named it 'cursum perficio' which means 'my journey is complete.'  I tried to convey its beauty (Marilyn was very proud that she had her own swimming pool) and also the loneliness, by painting only one lounge chair.

Prints on paper, measuring 15 X 19 inches, are available for $300.00 each.
