Time to load your events onto the Calendar

In the last year, our events calendar has grown by leaps and bounds.  Although it may look a bit sparse in the summer doldrums, we have become the most comprehensive source of info on vocal-related events in Southern California.  Further, our event readership has skyrocketed as a result of the weekly vocal events column in the Clickable Chamber Music Newsletter, a feature which started appearing in January, and which points to our site calendar in every issue.  This publication already has a passionate following, going out to almost 5000 music lovers across Los Angeles, Orange County and beyond each week, listing a variety of classical music events, features and even the occasional review.  It is an essential resource, a grassroots e-newsletter we should all be reading.

So, do you want to reach these thousands of targeted readers, so they can attend your events?  The column is based on the listings at LaurisList.com, and refers readers back to the site.  List your events here, and you'll automatically be considered for inclusion.  Your event will also be mentioned in issues of The Links preceding the date.  Load events as far ahead as you wish:  once you're logged in, you can make changes anytime through the My Menu section on the brown navigation bar.

Other ways to promote your event to Listers and other readers:
  • Ticket giveaways:  Offer two or more free tickets to readers via the Forums, our Facebook page, and/or The Links.  This can be first-come-first-served, or you can attach a quiz, contest or some other test of skill.  It's a great way to be memorable and to get your information forwarded to others. Contact us to set up a giveaway.
  • Lister discounts:  Offer a discount to users and members by mentioning it in the listing, or through a post on the Discounts & Freebies forum.
  • Submit a story idea for The Links:  Is your event a premiere or does it involve unusual circumstances?  Contact us and tell us about your angle, and we'll consider it for inclusion in the newsletter, the column or elsewhere.

To log in and enter your events, click here.
