If you haven't started a LinkedIn profile yet, at least take a peek. According to the results of casual polling over the last year, at least half of the singers we've talked to say that they've found valuable connections with old or new colleagues. Use thiscarefully-crafted site to:

connect with business contacts.
post your resume.
find a day job.
join groups related to your favorite topic.
recommend a colleague, or get some kind words yourself.
tweet about your next performance with one click.
connect with non-musicians as well as singer types.
