Hope yet
Opera grabs a new piece of the mainstream
If anything that gets classical music into the consciousness of the masses is a welcome development, then today brought good news to those of us who care. Big Fish Games, one of the most popular game distributors online, have announced their new offering, 'Nightfall Mysteries: Curse of the Opera', a hidden object game that is already showing good sales figures. Gamers play the role of stagehand in a story that takes the opera troupe to a lonely castle, and includes murder, mayhem and a mysterious Count. (Just the basics!)
Hidden object games have been a steady success for this site and many others, and as this game is available for PC or Mac, hopes are high that it will share the romance of the opera world with hordes of game-hungry new fans. A free one-hour demo is available here, and the game is available for only $6.95 if you join their game club. (You can cancel that membership almost immediately.) Give it a try. Share it with friends. Then maybe we can hope for our own reality show. After all, don't you want to know what Anna Netrebko eats for breakfast? (Just kidding!...)

No, we did not receive anything in exchange for this feature.
