Dear Friends of Sparky,
Hi there! I hope everyone is having a great summer, I know I am! Sparky and I are going down to Cozumel until July 5th, so when you get this email I will most likely be on a beach.
Our Barnes & Noble Grove event with The Greater Los Angeles Writers Society (GLAWS) was very large and very fun! (photos posted on My Blog). I sold a great number of books and have been invited back to the Grove Barnes & Noble for 2 childrens events! August 18th for over 100 kids, and September 26th for over 200 kids!!! As you can imagine, I am VERY happy and excited about this!
I am developing a great relationship with Barnes & Noble Booksellers and involving Sparky the Wonderfish in various charity and outreach programs.
I am also working on my "Sparky the Wonderfish Gulf Coast Hope & Literacy Tour" using this "story of how love creates magic" to help rebuild the Gulf Coast disaster areas. I am planning to make a documentary. The project is aimed toward the educational wants and needs of the children effected by these disasters, i.e. schools, libraries and hospitals. I plan to raise enough money to donate a check to rebuild at least one new green school and library along the Gulf Coast.
I was interviewed during the Barnes & Noble Grove event which I am editing into a proposal for a large corporation to sponsor my Gulf Coast trip. Wish me luck.
