The premier of the Tex Avery directed "A Wild Hare" on July 27, 1940 has long been
considered the 'birthday' of the character we now lovingly know as Bugs Bunny.  Al-
though Bugs had many 'fathers' through the years, it is the direction of Friz Freleng,
Robert McKimson and Chuck Jones that have given us the rabbit of our dreams.
