Friends of John Jay Homestead will host The Carriage Ball, a black tie gala to celebrate the initiation of construction on the Carriage Barn Education and Visitor Center. The event will include presentation of the Founders Award to Friends Trustee and former Board president Sascha Douglass Greenberg and her husband, Evan Greenberg, Chairman and CEO of Ace Group.
The night is sure to fun, with dinner, silent auction and dancing to the music of the Starlight Orchestras. If you have not purchased your tickets, be sure to do so right away.

Carriage Barn Construction Kick Off!
On Tuesday, April 17th, FoJJH celebrated the kick off of the construction for the Education and Visitor Center with a tour of the work site and a reception in the Main Barn. Site manager Heather Iannucci and Commissioner Rose Harvey of the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation spoke about the importance of this exciting project.

KES Students to Hatch Chicks for Egg Co-Op
InterGenerate and the first graders of Katonah Elementary School hatched a plan for
heritage breed chicks at John Jay Homestead. For the past year, the new non-profit's Egg Cooperative raised hens at the local historic site. For the first time this spring, members will work in partnership with the students of KES to hatch heritage eggs and then raise them into laying hens. Read more..
