Join us for the TFKD-Kmart Bike Drive: July 25th!

"We toss out pebbles and the ripples spread," was the reply from Marlyn Price, Trips for Kids Founder and Director of TFK Marin, when I sent her the list of events that have benefited TFKD this year  (Treads, WaterCourse Foods, and The Great Urban Race). 

Recently, Kmart contacted us to participate in another bike drive event at their store in Englewood at 200 W Belleview Ave and Broadway (Click for Map).  Anyone who drops off a bike donation on Saturday, July 25th between 10am and 2pm will receive a $10 Kmart gift card!
 
In addition to the TFKD Bike Drive, this community event will include a Bike Rodeo managed by Swedish Hopital's SafeKids program, teaching young children bike safety rules and providing bike helmets for a $5 donation. The Englewood Fire Department will be on-site conducting car seat safety checks.

We are looking for a few TFKD volunteers to represent the organization at the Bike Drive.  Please contact Andrew Goodwillie, if you are interested in helping for a few hours next Saturday.  303-725-6723 or tfkdenver@mac.com

Volunteer Shop Night:
July 15 from 4 to 8pm
Urban Peak bike give away
In an effort to keep our fleet of program bikes in their best condition during our peak summer season, we're hosting another volunteer shop night July 15 from 4 to 8 pm. 

We're looking for several experienced bike mechanics to tune-up and perform safety checks on our fleet of program bikes.  For folks not as skilled with a wrench, we need help installing slime tubes, pumping up tires and washing and lubing the bikes.
