The Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services's (KDADS) mission is to foster an environment which; promotes security, dignity and independence, while providing the right care at the right time in a place called home. Long term care, mental health services and community services and programs--such as HCBS waiver services are now located in KDADS.

Throughout the month of August, KDAD's will host a series of informational sessions regarding the implementation of the KanCare comprehensive managed care program effective January 1, 2013, and to respond to any questions you have.  Click here for more information and to RSVP! 

Unique Opportunity for Parents Who Have A Child with Autism:  ABA Training Research 
The University of Kansas is evaluating a training program based on Applied Behavior Analysis for parents of children with autism.  They want to know how effective this training program is in teaching you how to develop your child's independent skills and manage his/her challenging behaviors. Families participating in this project will go through the complete training program.  Read more
