Safety Videos - At home, at Play and on the Way:

Safe Kids and the Metlife Foundation have partnered to bring you a series of safety videos highlighting how you can take precautions to help prevent injuries to children with special needs. Read more.

Safety Signs 

The problems of bullying, violence, and abuse can seem complex and confusing. Safety signs are used for people with developmental disabilities who have limited speech or no speech at all. Read more.

Self-Protection: Personal safety and Disabilities  

This combination of issues often leads to assumptions about helplessness that can cause people with disabilities to worry that they do not have any way to protect themselves from an attack. Read more.

Transportation Safety

All children deserve to be protected as occupants in motor vehicles in restraint systems appropriate for their size and development. However, some children who have certain medical conditions or procedures require special consideration when selecting restraints. Read more.

Families Together, Inc. is the statewide organization that assists parents and their sons and daughters with disabilities. Our program's mission is to encourage, educate, and empower families to be effective advocates for their own children.

 

Families Together, Inc. is dedicated to a society that includes and values all people. We offer families the security of belonging to a support network of other parents that face similar goals, challenges and needs.
