Locket Keeps Data Handy

New York designer Emily Rothschild has created three necklaces featuring lockets that hold a 2GB flash drive. Rothschild also created a medical version, designed for storing personal medical records and critical contact information. The flash drive itself can be engraved to make the most pertinent information immediately visible to medical professionals. click here

Microsoft Office Specialist Program

Together the Wichita Workforce Alliance and the Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation created a course for transition-aged students with exceptionalities and a basic knowledge of computers who are focused on developing the skills necessary to gain entry-level positions with opportunities for advancement.   Students are expected to gain Microsoft Office Specialist certification through this four week course. Volunteers Needed for Accessible Parking Program

The Wichita Police Department is seeking volunteers.

Ideally the volunteers will work 5 hours a month. Volunteers must be 18 or older, need to pass a background check, be able to use a computer (Microsoft Office), and clerical work. Contact Lt. Doug Nolte
