Updates on Medicaid & Uninsured

Two new resources from the Kaiser Family Foundation's Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured explore key aspects of mental health care financing and access. Car Loan Progam

The Family Conservancy helps families in the Kansas City area in many ways.  These include helping children overcome traumatic experiences, helping families break the cycle of poverty and equipping children with supportive, nurturing parents.  There newest program is to help families get a car with a very reasonable, 8% car loan.  There are certain criteria that the families must meet to qualify. Child Health Knowledge Paths

The Maternal and Child Health Library (MCH) has created new Knowledge Paths to separate out info for families to make it easier to access by topic.  http://www.mchlibrary.info/families/index.html

Youth will learn about transition and how health is a big part of that. They will explore the challenges to growing up and how to overcome them. By learning about leadership and advocacy, youth will be more prepared to take charge of their lives and health care.
