Invitation to Participate in the SRS Person Centered Planning & Challenging Behavior Studies

On behalf of Kansas Social and Rehabilitation Services (SRS), you are invited to particapate in an important study. The information you share will be used by SRS to improve services for individuals. Two surveys are being conducted:

  1. Person-Centered Planning, Wraparound, and Other Individualized Planning Processes and
  2. How Challenging Behavior is Addressed in Kansas

District Circuit Court to Hear Case

Micah Fialka Feldman provided an inspirational presentation during last year's Finding Solutions Conference.  Micah shared the struggles he faced as he fought to live in the dormitory at Oakland University where he was a full-time student.  His journey now takes him to the 6th Circuit Court.  Learn more

Tiny Drinks, Big Sugar

Many parents and kids are drawn to the convenience of the small 6.75 ounce juice drinks complete with a straw that can be used at snack, lunch box or mealtime drink. The boxes are attractive - bright colors with promises of 100% real juice and vitamins. The messages convey the idea that the juices are healthy choices. A closer look at the sugar content of these boxed drinks tells a different story. Drinking too many of these tiny drinks can contribute to tooth decay and obesity. More...

Art from the Heart

Families Together received a grant from the Prairie Pilots Club of Wichita and Pilot International Foundation. Through the grant 176 students with special needs created artwork for a 30 square foot, 180 ceramic tile mural. The mural will travel around the state. Noon - 2:30 p.m., Rally begins at 1 p.m.

Sedgwick County Zoo stage

$4.50 admission when you say you are with the rally.

Walk miles in support of more than 4,500 Kansans with developmental disabilities who are forced to wait for services. Find out more at InvisibleKansans.com.  Everyone is invited to show their support.
