Greetings!
February is the month of love. If you have been interested in e-books and e-book readers, now is your chance. The library is now circulating five Nook Simple Touch e-book readers. Take one out and see if e-books are your cup of tea! On Feb. 14 at 6 pm drop in for a show and tell about the Nook and e-books. Read about this below. The Haddonfield Friends of the Library provided funds for the Nooks!
As usual, the Haddonfield Friends of the Library are shining. Betsy Anderson, member of the Executive Board, was recently honored as Haddonfield's Citizen of the Year. Betsy is very deserving of this fine award for her many contributions to the library and community.
Tosca: another night at the opera is featured on February 15. Join Phil Shapiro, president of the Friends, for a pleasant evening if you are an opera lover.
To observe Black History month a display with the theme Black Women in American Culture will be featured all month. Staff member Claire Stairiker created this interesting display.
There are a lot of children's and teen craft activities related to Valentine's Day this month.
Lastly, the library has its annual supply of federal tax forms if you want to get a jump on April 15. Stop in and see what's new @your library!
Cordially,
Susan Briant
