Each summer, kids preschool through teen are invited to keep track of books they read during our Summer Reading Program. A new theme is introduced each summer, and theme-related programs and incentives encourage members to continue to enjoy reading through the summer. Preschoolers may participate in the program as parents read to them and record the books at the library. A celebration including entertainment and refreshments winds up the program in August.
The Summer Reading Program theme for 2011 will be One World, Many Stories for kids and You Are Here for teens. Sign up in the Children's Room begins Monday, June 6. Read 6 books during the summer and receive a great award! End of summer celebration at Borough Hall with Alex and the Kaleidoscope Band on Thursday, August 25 at 7:00PM.
