Greetings!
Welcome back Spring! There's a lot going on at the library in May, as usual. This month the children's department celebrates Children's Book Week from May 10-16. The library has a new computer program available in the library called Generations Online. It provides a way to learn how to use the computer and the internet at your own pace. Librarians are available to assist. The Haddonfield Friends of the Library launched a new website at www.hfol.org You can even become a Friend at the site and support the library. Two of our Friends met Lisa Scottoline at the NJ Library Association Annual Conference. Visit the library to attend programs (see below) or see the lovely display done by the Haddonfield Garden Club. Hope to see you soon. Library Director Haddonfield Public Library President, NJ Library Association 2009-10 |

Haddonfield Garden Club display at the library
The Haddonfield Garden Club, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2006, is the third oldest garden club in the U.S. This month the Garden Club displays its history, flowers, and good works in the library's display case on the first floor. The Garden Club places fresh flowers and arrangements in the library every week year round, in both the adult and children's depts. Most recently, they have placed adornments over the fireplaces and are rotating the displays. They also decorate the library at the holiday season. This year the Haddonfield Garden Club won first prize at the Philadelphia Flower Show. Please visit your Garden Club on May 8, from 9-3 at Kings Court for the annual herb sale. This is the major fundraiser for the Garden Club. |
