Greetings!
In this issue you will find news about summer reading activities for children, teens, and adults who may just want some good beach time books. The library has it all and if we don't have the selection that you want, we will get it.

The Teen Corner of the Library was launched on May 29. The teens came in droves and they enjoyed the festivities and got reacquainted with the library. The band Solus Rex played music for their enjoyment on the library's front lawn.

The library has stocked up on the Haddonfield school system's required reading for the Middle and High schools. Our staff will be glad to help you get copies. You can also reserve copies from our website - see story below.
Come check us out for paperbacks, videos and so much more to make your summer more enjoyable!  Have a great summer!

  Cordially,

teens readingNew Collections for teens age 15-19 in the Teen Corner

The library has more than 500 new books for teens from age 15-19 in the Teen Corner. New collections comprise fiction, non-fiction and a variety of study guides for testing and college admission. Sophie Brookover, teen librarian and author, worked with our staff and teens to develop this collection. She welcomes requests from teens.  Submit requests here or in person or by phone to the library. Sophie is helping to design a teen presence on the library website.

Sophie will run the teen reading program this summer. Watch for details in the next issue and on the website. Sophie will reconvene the teen advisory board in September.

Are you headed Down the Shore this summer? The library has a great selection of paperbacks that are terrific for the beach. Want to catch up on the classics? A page turning mystery? A biography or romance? Check out our honor section. You can take out paperbacks free and return them when you are ready. Or bring back some you are finished with and donate them so someone else can enjoy the same pleasure. Reduce stress on your vacation by selecting some fine paperbacks to expand and relax your mind.
Of course there are plenty of new books for checkout, as well as books on CD to listen to as you drive to vacation. We have many DVDs to take along for the kids or adults if you are taking a portable DVD player. Our downloadable movies and books are also available in case you are taking your laptop. Don't forget our Playaways collection. These are digitized books that fit in your pocket. See Quick links below for those collections.
