Children's Activities in April
Greetings!

We wish you a pleasant Spring, Happy Easter or Passover. The Library is celebrating National Library Week, the week when libraries, librarians, and paraprofessional library staff are appreciated. We have a lot of activities planned. Please see stories below. Consider donating non-perishable foods to apply to fines on your overdue items. Help those in need at the same time. The library is partnering with the Food Bank of NJ in this effort. So, please stop in and visit us during National Library Week April 12-18! See what is new at the library. Join the staff for coffee on April 15, from 10-12 and thank them for their good library service. Celebrate getting taxes in the mail!
  Cordially,
  Susan Briant
Library Director
NJLA President-elect

Snapshot Day - an Exciting Day in NJ libraries!
In the last newsletter we featured an event on Feb. 19 whereby the public libraries in NJ collected stories, statistics, and took pictures of how people use libraries. More than 161,000 people visited NJ libraries on that day. Since library funding may be imperiled, it is important to show how libraries improve the quality of life for so many NJ residents.
