Come see what is happening this month at your library. A new book club starts on Sept. 15! The Friends of the Library Book Sale is on Sept. 20 from 10-3 pm. (Rain date is Sept. 21, from 12-5 pm. ) The library will waive fines from Sept. 12-21 so bring in your overdue books! Apply for your first library card at our webpage. Or come in to get a card. Library Attends Back-to-School Nights in Sept. at Haddonfield Schools

Local Author, Ron Jensh, Does Book Talk on Sept. 10
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dr. Ron Jensh, a Haddonfield resident, will give a book talk and reading on his 2 books,"Epiphany" published in 2007 and "Lifelines: The Intimate Experience of a Transplant Patient and His Family" published in 2000. Banned Books Week is Sept. 27-October 4, 2008
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The library will provide a display of books that have been challenged over the years as being suitable for reading. If you cherish your intellectual freedom, view this display of books that have been considered controversial in the past. What do "Catcher in The Rye" and "Lady Chatterley's Lover" and "The Color Purple" have in common? Attempts were made to ban all three from libraries in different eras. Check out the 100 most banned books at the library.

| Haddonfield Friends of the Library Book Sale on Sept. 20!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Friends of the Library's fabulous annual book sale will be held at the library on Sept. 20, from 10-3 pm. In case of rain, the date will be Sept. 21, from 12-5 pm. Books are priced from $1.00 for paperbacks to $2.00 for hardbacks. Special books are priced individually. Come get your bargains for winter reading! Support the Friends, the group that gives so much to the library! Book donations are now being accepted at the library!
