LOUIS COLLINS TO PERFORM SUNDAY
Please join us at Unity this Sunday at 10 a.m. when Rev. brenda's will give the talk. Pianist Louis Collins will be providing the congregational and special music, since Nina Swanson will be gone. In addition to his musical interests, Louis is a life coach, youth minister, and photographer.
UNITY 101 BEGINS SUNDAY
Unity 101 begins this Sunday and continues on the following three Sundays (9/30, 10/7 and 10/14). We will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Strong Room. Unity 101 is an opportunity to meet new folks, learn a bit about Unity teachings, and get a better understanding of the structure of UnityCR and Unity Worldwide Ministries. It is also an opportunity for prospective members to prepare for membership. If you wish to join UnityCR, attendance at all four classes is required. "SPIRITUAL ECONOMICS" CLASS STARTS SEPTEMBER 27
Join Rev. brenda for her class titled "Spiritual Economics," beginning this Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and continuing each Thursday until Nov. 8. What is the truth about substance? Explore your personal gold mine! What does gratitude have to do with it? Where do the divine laws of prosperity fit in, and how do I USE them? Live from a consciousness of ABUNDANCE. This class will be a discussion group exploring Rev. Eric Butterworth's book, "Spiritual Economics." Each week you'll learn the meaning of prosperity at a personal level, see the practical application of Principle, and learn how to LIVE LIFE from a consciousness of consciousness. DOUG WICK BENEFIT BREAKFAST OCTOBER 6
Please join us for a special Doug Wick benefit breakfast in the CommUnity Room on Saturday, October 6, from 8 to 11 a.m. Proceeds will go to help ease the Wick family's burden of medical expenses. The cost is $5 for pancakes, sausage patties, fruit, and drink. Doug was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in February 2012. Let's step up to the plate and help Doug and his family!
"LOVE WITH AN ATTITUDE" CLASS BEGINS ON OCT 6
Please join Rev. Rick Nash for his class on Saturdays, Oct 6, 13 and 20, from 10 a.m.- noon. Life is filled with positives and negatives, and our attitudes are no exception. Our attitude can be our worst enemy or best friend, and be the foundation for failure or the source of success. It all comes down to choice. This class will help us discover, when dealing with attitudes, true unshakeable confidence, and how to break free from the agony of insecurity. Also, it will show the benefits of mercy and forgiving, and how to overcome worry and KNOW your Divine purpose.
"FEEDING THE POOR" MEETING ON OCT. 7
Have you ever known someone who has been hungry, living paycheck to paycheck and not sure how they'd get their next meal? The number of people who need food is growing and UCR wants to do our part to address it. At an initial meeting, a small, wise and committed group decided there are things UCR can do to support the existing efforts of other organizations in our community. Please join us on Sunday, Oct 7, at 11:30 a.m. to help plan the next steps, and invite others to join. It feels good to know that there are simple things we can do that WILL make a difference in people's lives.
