TracyPrice3 Please join us this Sunday at 10 a.m. when vocalist Tracy Price works his special magic.  You've seen him perform in many Theatre Cedar Rapids productions and heard him sing at the Doug Jackson benefit last fall. You've heard him sing at UnityCR many times with Aaron Smith and with the Unity Men's Spirit Choir. Now see him take the solo spotlight this Sunday and let his music touch your soul. Then enjoy Rev. brenda's last talk before her August Sabbatical. Her talk is titled "Affirmative Prayer."

 

QUARTERLY & MTL MEETINGS, JULY 29

Heads up!  There is a quarterly meeting coming up on Sunday, July 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.  Grab some brunch and meet us in the CommuUnity Room to catch the latest updates on the state of affairs at UnityCR, including news on Rev. brenda's upcoming sabbatical. Also, Ministry Team Leaders, be sure to come to the MTL meeting from 12:15 - 1:45 p.m. in the Strong Room. Susan Liddell, Licensed Unity Leader, will give an update on the leadership pipeline and discuss how to invite people onto your team and how to facilitate a team meeting.

 

BOOKSTORE OPEN HOUSE, AUGUST 5

Sacred Grounds and Books will be having an Open House at UnityCR on Sunday, August 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. Delightful company and delicious hors d'oeuvres will round out an evening of quiet entertainment. For more information, contact Mary Beth McGuire at 319-378-0601.

 

DOUG WICK BENEFIT, AUGUST 9Doug Wick  
There will be a benefit for UnityCR member Doug Wick at the Linn Mar High School gym on Thursday, August 9. Doug was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in February 2012, and his family has incurred a huge financial burden. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., and a live auction begins at 7:00 p.m., with a basketball game to follow. Free-will offerings are gratefully accepted.
