KAREN ETHERIDGE TO SING SUNDAY

Please note that our guest musician this Sunday will be Karen Etheridge, not Wayne Neuzil. Wayne will visit us again on September 2.  We are very honored to have Karen visit us! Here is her biography:

Karen began singing actively while still in high school in New York City. She sang with a variety of bands before signing with MGM. Since those early days, Karen has performed in Paris, London, Costa Rica, Mexico (in Baja and at sea on the Carnival Cruise Line), and at Sandals Resort in Jamaica. Now living in California, Karen has been a professional soloist at the High Desert Center for Spiritual Living.

Karen was selected as one of the "High Desert Divas" by the High Desert Center for the Arts and performed on their stage in March of 2004. She performed on their stage again for Black History Month in February 2007. Karen has been honored as one of the "Most Inspiring Women in the High Desert."

At about age 9, her parents noticed she looked at them using her peripheral vision when she spoke to them. It wasn't until much later that she was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmintosa and determined to be legally blind. This impairment never stopped her from singing and may contribute to her very heartfelt, genuine presence. She is truly a world-class performer.
