Anji lends pure vocals with smooth, skilled phrasing to both original songs and cover tunes, effortlessly blending folk, jazz and blues stylings with a sprinkling of prairie-sunshine pop. RELAY FOR LIFE, JUNE 1

On Friday, June 1, UCR's Outreach Ministry will have a team in the annual American Cancer Society's Relay For Life. This annual event takes place at Kirkwood Community College on June 1 and 2.  Teams walk around the Kirkwood track to raise money for, and awareness of, cancer. Typically the amount of time walked is 1 hour, but you can walk longer if interested. The UnityCR team will begin our walk at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 1, but you can walk at another time if you wish. If you have questions, want to join the team or want to make a donation, contact Cory Matejka at 319-560-6710.

CR PRIDEFEST, JUNE 2

UCR will have a booth at the annual CR Pridefest at Green Square Park in downtown Cedar Rapids on Saturday, June 2, from noon to 6 p.m.  We will be handing out UnityCR literature and information, raffling off the book "Gay is a Gift" and having a good time.  If you would like to work at the booth, contact Cory Matejka at 319-560-6710 or Susan Liddell at 319-389-3132.

For more information, contact Jim Greene at 319-362-5563.

UNITY SIDING WORK STARTS JUNE 16

Brian Zumhof and the UCR siding crew will be fixing this wall on three Saturdays, June 16, 23 and 30, starting at 7 a.m. sharp. The first order of business is replacing any rotted areas with 1/2 inch plywood and wrapping all areas to be sided with Tyvek HomeWrap. If you are interested in helping, please contact Brian Zumhof at 319-373-0905.
