NINA SWANSON FEATURED MUSICIAN

Come celebrate Earth Day with us this Sunday! Join us at 10 a.m. and enjoy the music and vocals of our very own Musical Director, Nina Swanson. Nina is known for her years of musical and theater work in the area, including Liar's Holographic Theatre and Tribute, an Iowa-based Christmas-themed trio that performs at Theatre Cedar Rapids. Most of all, Nina is known for supplying the musical harmonies and spirit that keep UCR a happening place! Rev. brenda will be giving the Sunday lesson.

SPIRITUAL BOOK SALE, APRIL 22

Sacred Grounds and Books will be having a spiritual book sale in the CommUnity Room on Sunday, April 22, from 9-10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Pay $5 for a bag and load as many books as you want into the bag at no additional charge! UNITY 102 CLASS, APRIL 22

A revised Unity 102 class will be held this Sunday, April 22, in the Strong Room from 11:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m. This one class will explore four key areas of Unity teachings; Five Principles, Twelve Powers, Metaphysics and Metaphysical Bible, and Prayer and Meditation. The class format will be discussion and experiential. If you would like to know more about these important Unity concepts, please join us for this exciting class. MARKETING AND MEDIA MEETING, APRIL 22

The Marketing and Media Ministry will be having its next meeting this Sunday, April 22, at 11:30 a.m. in the Strong Room. We plan to talk about "live streaming" our services on the Internet and improving our website. We will also be brainstorming about "UCR identity language." What makes us who we are? What stories can we tell about ourselves? Sound interesting? Please come!

  

PICK UP YOUR DIRECTORY APRIL 22-MAY 6 

You can pick up your FREE copy of the church directory in the foyer this Sunday and the following two Sundays. After that, copies will be available in Kip's office. One per household, please. If you have any questions, contact Mark Hanna at 319-390-7980.

 

FUN CLUB TO SEE COMEDY, APRIL 29

Fun Club, an activity-based group for adult UCR members and friends, is planning to see board member Jim Greene perform in "Self-Help for Dummies" at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, at Starlighter's Theatre, 136 E. Main St, Anamosa.  Purchase your own ticket at 319-462-4793 from 5-9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9-noon on Saturday. Tickets are $13 for adults and $12 for students/senior citizens.  Say you're with Unity so we can sit together.  We will carpool from UCR after Sunday brunch. RSVP to Nancy Dearborn at 319-573-5877. 
 

QUARTERLY MEETING, APRIL 29

Mark your calendars. We're having our quarterly meeting in the CommUnity Room after the service on Sunday, April 29. There will be time for you to attend this special discussion and then go to the theater production that afternoon.
