The Self-Sensory System and
The Transition to the Aquarian Age
Words of Wisdom from Siri Singh Sahib Bhai Sahib Harbhajan Singh Khalsa Yogiji
| | |
Editor's Note: This lecture was given by the Siri Singh Sahib in the year 2000. It outlines the differences in the human character from the Piscean to the Aquarian Age. There is a special meditation you can do with this lecture. The instructions for the meditation are given at the end of this article.
In the next twelve to fourteen years you will be needed by the world. It does not matter who one is today, or to whom one belongs; people's minds are going to go empty. In the Piscean Age, the main need was for knowledge, for creative legacy. That's why in the Piscean Age sex was taboo; it was monitored, matured, glorified. Sex and sensuality were considered the primary attractions. Beauty was physical and people pursued each other. Sexual intercourse was the orientation of relationships and it reached the point of obnoxious duality. Perversion became very prominent.
But the time is changing, people are looking towards fulfillment of the self through purity and piety, individuality, and reality. They don't want to practice duality anymore; that's why you will find few marriages. Sex will not be the attraction. A Sensory System will develop, a new system where the individual will find him or herself complete. Communication will be humongous. Everybody will have access to all knowledge. With a push of the button you can get any information you want. The whole world will be at your disposal. The obsession with sex will have no place. One will not look for satisfaction through physical intercourse. It will be automatic that one will find satisfaction through the self-sensory system, which people will develop in the coming fifty years.

Society and the Social Animal
Words of Wisdom from Siri Singh Sahib Bhai Sahib Harbhajan Singh Khalsa Yogiji
| | |
As it is a fact that we are human beings, so it is a fact that it is the tendency of a human being that, having been born, he likes to seek. The human likes to seek association with a group. The human is a social animal, so to form a society of people is the basic instinct of the being. Thus you will always see all people of all races have one society or another. Such a society then became the government, and the government became a country. People and their prejudices became stronger and so they invaded one territory, took care of and also made slaves of others. Those who were clever, they tried to trap others.
Thus there is a tremendous history of humans fighting the other humans because everybody wants their society to expand. So much so, that we sometimes have very neurotic children. We tolerate them because we want our society to expand. In our home there is a thief, who is our own son or daughter. We sometimes enjoy it, because at least it is our son and our daughter. And this social technical commitment, because of the human instinct, continues to lead people and to change people into different varieties of social structures. And basically every social structure started out of the dire need of the human instinct. And also because there is a dire need or instinct to relate to Infinity, such social structures in the beginning could only be started in the Name of God and thus a religion was formed.
If you study the continuity of the history of the man, you will find even today in America there are ethnic groups. They are all Christians, but they are divided into ethnic groups. In Christianity there are ethnic groups and there are social groups. One church member doesn't want to go participate with another church member. One group doesn't want to relate to another group. Why? Because ultimately every social group will create a hierarchy. Every social group creates a hierarchy and the new bulls will like to fight the old ones. And this competition is natural.

Success and the Spirit: You Always Know
| |

Blog post by Ek Ong Kaar Kaur Khalsa
"Today we are going to educate ourselves about 'cross-reference.' Do you know what cross-reference is? Two things you always know: you always know what is right and you always know why you are not doing what is right. When you know what is right and when you know that you cannot do what is right, at that time, if you have a cross-reference, you can hold yourself together. It is a temporary holding of the energy." -Yogi Bhajan from Success and the Spirit: An Aquarian Path to Abundance
Kundalini Yoga is the yoga of awareness. When we practice Kundalini Yoga, it means that we can't hide behind excuses anymore. Human beings are sensitive and intuitive. We are created to know what to do in every moment. The only reason we don't do it is because of ourselves.
Sometimes, we value the external judgments of other people more than we value the quiet voice within. Other people's opinions or other people's plans take precedence in our minds over what the soul is trying to say to us. How many times have each of us ignored that voice? Only to realize later, "I KNEW it. I knew I shouldn't have done this. Or that I should have done that." Each person knows for himself or herself what is right. We can support each other in following that inner-knowing. But we can't be the voice of conscience for another person.
Then there are moments when you KNOW, but you can't do. You can't follow through on what that voice is telling you. That is the time to hold yourself steady. If you can't do what you know is right, at least wait. Do a meditation. Re-commit to your sadhana. Use your practice to create an inner-dialogue. Get to the root of why you are blocking yourself, and work it out.
