YB Video Lecture Still

In the lecture entitled, "Give God to Others, Part 2," the Siri Singh Sahib describes what happens when someone awakens through the practice of Kundalini Yoga.  He explains that you become aware of your weaknesses and "sweep them away with the broom of the Name of God and the trust of the Guru. You become a student of the Divine. You awaken in Guru Puri, the land of the Guru.  In your heart, the Guru smiles, at your destiny, the Guru rules, and in your dignity, the Guru smiles.  Then, you belong to the Siri Guru Granth."

When all the akashic records are seized to be one,
With the force of the wind and the power of the stars,
and when the Lord of the air and ego attacks and eats the consciousness of the world,
The dancing cobra, Scorpio, is realized!
From nothing to everying.
From everything to nothing.
In one moment!

November 2009

greetingsGreetings from Ravi Kaur, Executive Director
SSSjiWe were in our staff meeting a few weeks ago delving into our Year End campaign, the accomplishments of 2009 and the vision for 2010.  We were discussing what kind of year end service we wanted to offer and after agreeing that November reflects an 'Attitude of Gratitude' and December is the time for giving and sharing - we wanted to figure out how we could root this spirit into our year end fundraising.  I'm always so inspired by the staff here and all their creativity and devotion.

One idea in particular that we are manifesting is the Gratitude Mala Project.  A bead reflecting each donation - creating a physical mala that will be place on the altar of the Golden Temple in Amritsar - having someone dip in the nectar tank for each bead/prayer - and sponsoring an Akandh Path on behalf of all the 'beads'.  The hukam from that Akhand Path will be sent to each person as a sort of answer to the prayer sent.  (See below for more details on how to be a part of this amazing project.)

Mala YBWe are also offering our second annual Prosperity is in Your Projection free teleclasses.  This year we are blessed to have Guru Bachan Singh, Satwant Singh and the dynamic duo of Dharam Singh and Guru Kiren Kaur.  These courses offer  an opportunity to explore, expand and experience the technology of prosperity and how we manifest our destinies through our projection.  (See below for more details on this opportunity.)

2010 promises to bring a lot of transition for SDI.  As the teachings of the Siri Singh Sahib, Yogi Bhajan, are expansive and universal, we know that the year ahead brings great promise.  We are excited to continue our focus on service and community through the teachings and technology of Sikh Dharma.

Thanks to everyone who has supported Sikh Dharma International - some financially, some with your time and energy and some in ways that we don't even know!  Thank you, thank you, thank you.  We all send our prayers to you for a cozy month of November as we remember how grateful we are for everything we have in our lives.

CommunityNews Support Sikh Dharma International
Sikh Dharma International (SDI) invites you to join us in our mission of sharing the teachings of Sikh Dharma as taught by the Siri Singh Sahib and to spread the light of the Shabad Guru.

In order to continue with our mission, we need your support. This year, our year-end fundraising campaign is focused on gratitude and prayer. We are calling it the Gratitude Mala Project

SSSjiHere is how you can participate! With a donation of $108 or more, we will attach your name to a bead on the mala. An actual mala is being created for this purpose.
  • In the new year, a representative of SDI will present this Gratitude Mala to the Guru's altar at the Golden Temple.
  • A representative from SDI will take a dip in the sarovar of the Golden Temple for each person/family on the mala.
  • SDI will sponsor an akhand path in the land of the Gurus and send the hukam to all participants.
