Yogi Bhajan Quote of the Month |

Without peace in our personality, there is no chance of a good life filled with joy and prosperity.

| Peace
A Poem by Yogi Bhajan from Yogi Bhajan's, "The Game of Love". |
Unlimited God. Unlimited Men. The chicken and the egg all over again.
Chicken needs the egg and the egg needs the chicken, Like the Father the Son and the Holy Creation.
War needs peace, but peace needs no war. There's heaven and hell, And in the center's Ek Ong Kaar.
Peace brings prosperity to one and all. Prosperous are those who answer its call. They are patient, brave, gentle and strong. For them temptation and commotion do not last long.
Peace has a price. You can pay with pleasure or pay with leisure. Peace by piece you live to attain peace everyday. Peace is a longing, like the sun's warm ray That brightens life and takes strife away.
Searching for that, many leave home, But a simple prayer for peace on earth Brings the beauty of peace to every home.
Let us pray, and pray, and pray this day. Let us makes our lives like Peace Prayer Day.

Sat Nam!
Blessings from Dasvandh!
In this time of economic challenge it can be
very difficult for us to see the bigger, cosmic picture and continue to give
back a portion of our earnings to the greater good. I know it has been
increasingly hard for me to justify giving my tenth when income decreases and expenses
increase. In this test of faith, Yogi Bhajan's enclosed words on Dasvandh help me to see that now,
more than ever it is important to remember to trust in God, share my earnings, and
be grateful for everything that I have been blessed with. Living in gratitude and
giving back becomes an opportunity to be graceful and trusting when the world
is presenting challenges.
Giving back a part of your tenth to Dasvandh is an amazing
way of seeding your prosperity for the future. To learn more about the work
that is supported by your donations and to take advantage of a wealth of Yogi
Bhajan's teachings, visit us at www.dasvandh.org
and www.sikhdharma.org.
Please donate to Dasvandh today to deepen your commitment to
living in gratitude and your relationship with the universal flow of
prosperity!
Many Thanks and Blessings,

Planting the Seeds for Prosperity
Yogi Bhajan lecture excerpts from 11/14/2000
|
"It is a privilege to talk about Dasvandh, a centuries old
custom that is for mankind. For all people through many religions, through many
times it has been emphasized that man should take one tenth of his income, his
assets for offering to the higher self and that's the basic procedure on which
we are talking today.
Karmee aapo aapnee kay nayrhai kay door
According to their
own actions, some are drawn closer, and some are driven farther away.
Guru
Nanak Dev Ji - from Japji Sahib
By our own action we decide how
near we are and how far away we are, if we are far away from the general good
and only consolidate on our own behalf, then actually we are contracting and it
will be very remote that we will have prosperity and if by mistake we have
prosperity it will have a lot of pain in it and that is why it is essential for
all of us to offer this, to give this, it is actually seed money. It is what we
seed and then it grows and in my life I have seen giving to God as a must. All
things come from God, all things go to God and in that principle to assure
one's prosperity against calamity and bad luck Dasvandh is a protection, it's a
shield. It invokes the Guru's blessings and God's grace.
My personal feeling is that under
no circumstances should one hesitate and it should be done with a grace as a
offering of the self out of what God gives us and shall give us if we want the
beauty, bounty, and bliss. To enjoy prosperity in this life, this is the way
for all of us. May the grace of God be with us, may our virtues come through. May
our personality come through with that power of intuition so that we can plant the
seeds for prosperity and perpetual infinity of enjoyment in our life, fully
protected by God's grace.
Sat Nam.

Dasvandh is Giving to the Unknown. What a radical and
challenging idea in these times! By this act of giving we have an opportunity
to practice the technology of confronting our own fears and insecurity about
the future.
Each month when I prepare to write that Dasvandh check and confront
my fears and doubts and send it off, I reaffirm my faith that the universe will
provide for me. Over the years
maintaining this steady discipline has led to a consciousness of prosperity
that continues to expand.
As I take stock of my situation I can only marvel at the
personal growth that has come over the years. Today I work for one of India's fastest
growing companies with a current strength of over 24,000 employees. It has grown over 800% from approximately 3000
people when I joined in 2003.
While I can't take credit for all this growth, I can see the
hand of God working for me as I am surrounded by progressively more prosperous
environments. In 2008 in the midst of
the worst economic crisis of our time, I had my best year. I closed the largest
deal in the company's history ($80M over 5 years). This year I was promoted to
Senior Vice President of Client Relationships reporting to the number 2 man in
the company.
I can trace this success back to a meeting I had with the
Siri Singh Sahib back in 1992 or 1993. I remember the conversation distinctly.
I said, " I wanted to talk about Prosperity" As soon as I said the word
Prosperity, he cut me off and said "Guru Guru Wahe Guru, Guru Ram Das
Guru" "It's the secret to
Prosperity". I said, "Chant it everyday"?
He said, "all day long". He then said, "Any questions?" I said, "No".
He then said, "Good, you are all set. Teach the world".
Well I left and I was fired up. I became a "Chanting
Machine". I had auto reverse tape players going all night, in my car, in my
office. I was really into it. And within a few weeks I lost my job. Wow,
out of work with no job prospects. It didn't look very prosperous to me. I was miserable and was starting to think-
how I am going to make a living, meet my commitments, take care of my family? As
I noticed my mind beginning to think those thoughts, I remember thinking I am
not going to succumb to that. I will use the weapons the Siri Singh Sahib gave
me and I started chanting to Guru Ram Das.
As soon as I did that I felt something shift in my psyche. I didn't
really become aware of what was happening until much later but shortly after
that experience, I received a call from someone I had met some time back and he
offered me a good job as a marketing director for a small startup company. After
3 years there and a stint with another software company, members of my ashram
community came calling on me with some crazy idea to sell medical transcription
services from India to US hospitals. We built that company, went on to then
build a call center company, and then that company was acquired in 2003 by the
company I work for currently.
Prosperity is not about the money. It is the flow of energy,
the consciousness of abundance; although I must admit having an extra zero or
two in your paycheck is definitely fun to experience. My business success has created a whole new
opportunity for me to share the teachings of the Siri Singh Sahib. With my credibility in the company
established I have begun teaching Kundalini Yoga classes in the company's call
centers around the globe (Bangalore, India; Manila, Philippines; Colorado
Springs, CO; and Buffalo, NY, thus far). I can now walk into any of our 43
global centers which employ 24,000 people and with a few days notice have a
group eager to learn the science of Kundalini Yoga.
So despite all the life changes that we go through -
economic cycles, personal triumphs and tragedies, takeovers of companies and
changes of management, one thing has been constant. My prosperity has
increased. Whether it is because of my love for Guru Ram Das, the blessings of
being married to an elegantly graceful wife, or my consistent support for Das
Vandh, or most likely all three of them, I am surrounded by the most regal
environments.
I recently increased my Das Vandh contributions. You might
ask why I would do such a thing in the midst of all the uncertainty we are
facing in the world. My response would
be what better time to practice the technology of Giving to the Unknown then
now, when nobody knows what is going to happen. So take that leap of faith and
support Dasvandh. Let's build our
individual and collective prosperity.

| What is Dasvandh? |
| Donate Today! |
Every spiritual path has an avenue of participation, an opportunity to give back through tithing. While tithing is traditionally one-tenth of one's income, many people give whatever amount they can. The principle of tithing is that if you give to Infinity, Infinity, in turn, will give back to you. It is a spiritual practice through which you build trust in the ability of the Universe to respond to the energy that you give.
Dasvandh supports the mission of sharing Yogi Bhajan's teachings on Prosperity and Conscious living. Your donations help us continue this work and support your prosperous abundance. Please participate as a Dasvandh donor today. Thank you! | |
